Adwords Scam - We had a letter from Google saying we had £50 free adwords vouchers, so we went ahead and used them.

We had a letter from Google saying we had £50 free adwords vouchers, so we went ahead and used them. I had an email about two days after the campaign saying were being charged £5 for such and such to do with adwords, I never seen any of such charges mentioned on the letter.

It seems they get you to sign up believing its free for a month and charge you £5 for something and even if you cancel it immiediately still have a right to charge you, honestly this is bull.

I wouldn't be happy about that either, anyway you can contact them and see if it can be resolved?

I have had a look on the site for help but nothing but USA phone numbers and suggested help articles providing nothing at all. What con merchants!

I got the same letter... Google, leading web-company, chose to send a letter... Rather than an email... Strange?

Just found out they charged £1.50 on top for our card! Damn Google!

I also got a letter from Google giving me a £30 AdWords Voucher and or 10% off of Royalmail Advertising. Since when has Google and Royalmail been advertising together...??

The letter was addressed like this.

Communications Manager
Sharp Construction

Then my address

What i want to know is how did they put the building/construction company and this address together because that buisiness was registered at a different address...Anyway just to let you know my 'Shredder' still works...Lol

adwords is so not a scam. Why would so many companies be signed up to it if it was?
Log analysis programs and Google's stats are always likely to vary for a number of reasons. Have you tried counting the actual referrals from adwords in your log files?
