Exclamation My Portfolio: Slight Update ... maybe not?

Hey fellas,

On the update of my portfolio site, I have, finally, included something useful in the footer such as Twitter and 'What's going on'.

Jordan Marcotte . Portfolio of Freelance Web Design

What do you people think?

As I have mentioned before, I am totally unaware about how the market works. However, I am not really sure if a "recent tweets" box in your portofolio makes it any better. In your blog, definitely.

On a side note, maybe you would like to make the content space a bit smaller (in terms of height) as one has to slide down a lot to see the complete site.

You are right that it would definitely be better when the Twitter is my blog ... however, it's always nice to have it in your portfolio too. It makes the clients think you are still breathing air, sometimes they are curious and want to know what I'm doing, etc etc.

Also, it helps you to build network as well. It is very important ... helps you to get more clients!

As for the height thing, its not really important me ... I like it just the way it is.

Its a nice portfolio, I like it. Regarding twitter, its good that people know that you are still alive so speak but you need to careful with what you tweet, if it is only web related stuff then cool. If you are going to start tweeting about the cats and dogs outside your window then it is somewhat irrelevant.

I'm curious, what did you build your site with? Are you using a framework? CMS? Or is a custom job?

I like the "What's going on" idea - nice and personal, has a nice effect.

However, I'd like to point out you're working on "serveal" projects ;)

I built it by hand, so yes, basically a custom job. :)
