    Bana,

    I'm quite new at this but I use Inkscape (free) to create and design my websites.

    The files are easily exported for web use and there are a number of tutorials out there that can give you some ideas.

    Also I code with Bluefish (free) and although a beginner I heartily recommend it.

    Hi Bana,

    Tutorials will depend on what you are trying to build, so if you can expand a little more on what you want out of this process we can help you a bit better.

    At a high level, some good free tools are:
    Notepad++ | 5.8.7
    GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program

    However, many people have there own favourite toolset and as such we may get a little debate going ;o)

    You may also want to look at Aptana. its a pretty robust IDE and has recently been purchased by Appcelerator. This means that we could soon see mobile development platform integrated into the IDE, which is pretty exciting.

    Too vague to answer Chief, tell us in a new thread what your requirement is, i.e. who the site is for and what you want in it and we might be able to throw some ideas your way.

    The template is a hard work. At first you need to create a design. As example you need to use PhotoShop. You can find a lot of good Ptotoshop tutorials on the web. After design creation you need to start coding. You need to have good php and html skills. I suggest you to view good php and html tutorial at w3schools.com
