Default Membership Wordpress

Hi All,

I am starting a new little side job of selling wordpress themes, I have my domain name purchased, the website designed and some coded, a couple of themes half done, so I am getting there. The one thing I now need is allow member to signup and register via Wordpress.

The main plugin which does this is called amember, but it is priced at $170, which is money I don't have at the moment, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any alternatives for Wordpress? or another way around this?

Please let me know
Thanks

you could try the wordpress estore plugin.. I have never tried it myself but I would go for that one if I was looking... have a look and check it out, its a little cheaper at $64.95

either that or you could look into wordpress plugins at their own site, but I am not sure if you would find anything suitable there

I think you can do that with drupal - I am trying to decide at the moment between drupal, wordpress or self-coding for one of my sites and the ability to specify membership levels etc was one of the advantages of drupal. I've read a few tutorials but I haven't tried it out, it looks quite a bit different from wordpress but maybe you could try it out just for part of your site (depends how badly you want to ave the $170!)
