3 days till wordpress 3.0 public beta - will give that a go before I decide whether to seek cms satisfaction elsewhere :) Version 3.0 Project Schedule WordPress Development Updates Looks like it should be pretty safe - no new features have been added since March 1st, so the beta will purely be a bug hunt & punt.

For a pure blog Wordpress is the way to go. For practically anything else you can imagine, really anything, there's a way to do it Drupal; and not that hard once you get to know it. I've been using it for two months, and I already created a module. I hear Joomla is less flexible, can also do a lot. No experience there.

I'm liking Drupal though! It seems to have a wide range of different themes avaliable and doesn't look too complicated to use. My one concern is, do you know how easy it is to implement your own layout?

I prefer building my own... Custom built CMS's are in my eyes, much better then an open source CMS... Though I have been kinda thinking about making an open source CMS just for the hell of it... Maybe make some money through advertising or something lmao... |
