3rd try
27 Mar 2011 @ 13.52 Hi, Just posting a new thread as they seem to go amiss when I stick them on the end of my threads, but this is my 3rd change, I changed the c's and the colour ( white )
Am I getting any closer?

27 Mar 2011 @ 15.18 The forums are generally quieter at the weekends - so its not a case of your posts going amiss.
I suggest you don't try to run before you can walk. You've stated that you're not overly familiar with fireworks so I recommend you work through some tutorials over the next week. Just limit to 2 or 3 a day - don't over do it. You will more than likely find techniques that you really like and ideas of how to incorporate them into your logo will follow.
Here's some to get you started: http://www.fireworkszone.com/tutorials.html
Another option is to find examples of logos you like and try to work out how they were done (or how you can do them in fireworks). This might be better as a week 2 assignment though. Pay attention to how different graphic and typographic styles indicate feeling, emotion and how they represent what the logo is for. Here's a good resource: LogoPond - Identity Inspiration -.
Regarding your latest version, I must be honest and say that if I didn't know the two yellow lines were representations of two C's I would not have guessed. It doesn't indicate that this is a business that sells themes (from your previous thread).

28 Mar 2011 @ 07.16 hantaah I think you are over thinking it.
Yours C's now look like a body building pose, not sure if that's the message you want to give.
As said before, have a look for a nice font and get that down first, then investigate the icon image to use to compliment the text.Inexpensive Themes <<-- Affiliate link but it won't cost you.
