Here is a site I did a while ago, would like to expand and add a little more too it but not sure what.

If you go to
Untitled Document (old site)

you will see the site before the above redesign.

I love the use of the large imagery, however, I do think that the little info icon detracts a bit from them. You may want to consider a smaller icon, or text only, allowing the viewer to focus on the lovely photographs.

Overall, I like it. I especially like the black, it brings out the vibrant colors in the photographs. One thing I don't like is the black-to-green gradients, it brings out some ugly hues in the green.

Also, the text is a bit on the small side, some people may have trouble reading it.

I have to agree with both comments there, but also add that leaving out alt tags it a little silly, especially since they seem to be the only errors you have lol

Yep the text is too small and should get the alt tags in which wont be difficult.

Thanks for the replies :)

Tom, again I reiterate what has already been said in that this is a nice looking site.

On the homepage I would like to be able to view more than one image, maybe via a jquery slideshow, which would allow me to see more of your skills without having to delve deeper into your site. [edit] something liek the one on this site: http://www.substrakt.co.uk/ [/edit]

I would get rid of the visits and last update in the top right, if this gets out of date or is low, as at present, then it can put people off.

I don't think the faded green colour scheme works, it jars against some of the images presented. I can't think of an alternative however, sorry.

I do think black is the right way to go though. As someone mentioned earlier, this makes the images stand out. Maybe some inspiration from other sites will help: Inspiration: These websites are not black | Denis Designs

I personally like the site but can't really comment as i'm a complete novice. I was also a photographer with my extensive range of equipment.

I have however bought myself a Canon G9 to go with my Canon 30d and have some wonderful images from different places around the world. My favourite place is Rome. Its absolutely amazing!!

I am currently stitching 6 images together in photoshop of the inside of the collisium. Once its done i'll let you see the result!!

Anyway nice site mate, thanks for sharing it with us
