design is nice, it works well, not too sure of the colours though

I am going to be a bit brutal here as I my personal feelings are that if its a site that is going to be earning you money, it needs to be the best it possibly could be, so here goes ( sorry )

I think there is a fundamental flaw with your 'latest work' area, it looks great and is a nice effect, but unfortunately its not very good for those that don't have javascript enabled... switch your javascript off and you will see what I mean - it makes the whole page that is on very bad.

the flow between 'about me' and 'contact me' is not 100% .. just need to move the picture of yourself a little on either page ( up or down )

lastly is just my personal opinion, you have used a transitional doctype, I know the reasons for this are that you have used _target to go to the sites of your customers, but if this is the only reason, I would use javascript to do that job and have it as strict, that way, the only people that leave your site to view them are the ones that dont have javascript active and at the same time making the site a tiny be more 'accessibility' compliant... everyones happy lol

I hope its not too harsh, just trying to be honest.. ta

Not harsh at all saltedm. The reason I posted it up was for feedback. Not going to be able to improve if no-one points out potential flaws, and for that I appreciate you honestly.

I understand the issue regarding the latest work, was just trying out jquery...... not sure how else I'd do that bit??

Thanks for the heads up on the image and flow from aout me to contact me...... hadn't spotted that one.

My main complaint about the website is the font. Papyrus, right? I just don't think it fits very well.

Also, in the picture of you, your shirt says fcuk, which might look a bit much like f*** to some potential clients.

In your code, in all the dummy images, have blank alts. Better SEO that way.

Most of your images should be GIFs or PNG-8's, but they are all JPEG. Not only will you get better compression, but better quality. JPEG should be restricted to photos for most of the time.

Yeah the font is Papyrus..... just wanted to try something different.

Take your comment on about the t-shirt....... need to get a new pic taken.

Have changed thedummy image alt tags to blank.

Never thought or realised about the images being jpg's instead of gif's. Will look at getting those changed thanks.

Again thanks for your contructive feedback. Really appreciated.

If I change the doctype to strict and use Javascript to open in a new window does that to go against what you said earlier regarding the latest work section...... ie it won't work if users have javascript disabled? (Not trying to be smart or anything, I have very little knowledge of Javascript) How would I use Javascript to open in a new window?

If javascript is disabled, it'll open in the same window.

You would know Papyrus wouldnt you CV I am sure ive seen that on your Cafeol site.

So removing alts when they are not needed is better for SEO? I am considering doing this on our site now :D so just use alt=""?
