It doesn't look like the checkboxes are in the form... try moving the '<form>' opening tag to the top of the page, and also just pop 'newsletter.php' into the action, to make sure

hi mate, got it working :)

forgot i renamed the submit button to signup and didnt chabge it in the isset :)

so now am i right in saying i should setup email validation and then create a new table with the email address and another field for the storeID

so an example would be
email => myemail@hotmail.com
stores =>currys, ebay, comet, amazon

would that be enough information to store? wouldnt need any personal info would i?

Yeah, that's all I'd store. The more info you ask the user for, the less likely they are to signup unfortunately!
