A client of mine is hoping to receive a text alert on his mobile when someone sends him details via a form on his website.

I am guessing this is a server-side issue, but what is required from the web coding side of things to make this happen?

You'll need to do some research to find your clients email to their sms gateway.

I need the service to work in New Zealand - I'm sure our Telecom or Vodafone will have something available.

From what I can see from Google if your client is on Vodafone their sms email should be similar to 64xxxxxxxx@sms.vodafone.net.nz, not sure about Telecom New Zealand Ltd as couldn't find that info.

In any event, I think you can find the info under the sms settings on their mobile phone.
