Check this out How difficult is this to implement? I presume there is a mile of AS3 running in the background. Where could I learn to get this result? |

Wow, that does look impressive. However I don't think you need Papervision to achieve it. You won't be able to go to any one place to get a result like that... But breaking down the steps, this is what I would do to achieve the same result. First create an array in an array, and have that create a load of movieclips placed along in order, so you have a big table of images, like you see when it first loads. Now, I'd put these movieclips within another movieclip, that will skew around in proportion depending on the position of the mouse. Edit: http://kinderas.blogspot.com/2008/04...age-using.html is a good example of skewing using AS3. You'd also need each movieclip to expand on the mouse position dependently. When you click on a movieclip, I'd have that work as a small bit of AS3, followed by an animation, and then a completion of the image appearing. How much AS3 do you know? I'll start trying to find some links for you, but unless you're really confident in AS3, this is no easy task.

As MinatureCookie just said its very impressive and I love the way the images sway when your hover over them. Unfortunately theres no doctype and its invalid otherwise I think it would make a great streaming website for personal vids etc.

You could do this with Flash CS4 with 'proper' depth, thanks to its implementation of a z dimension. Just don't ask me how :D

@stu2000: I know, that loading screen looks amazing right? I'm not even sure how to begin going about doing that...
