Flash wmode
5 May 2011 @ 09.52 OK, so I have a full screen flash template. For some reason I do not quite understand the flash site needs to use JavaScript to show videos and this really is where the problem is.
The Flash designer says to avoid wmode/transparent because of performance issues. I have never had a problem, at least not one I have noticed in the past.
So the question really.
Is there any other way to layer a video on top of flash without making use of wmode? Is transparency really a problem (The template is effectively full screen)? Is opaque any better for performance?
Note, I tried attaching a wmode = transparent / window attribute change using JavaScript when the video popped up. Can I assume this didn't work because of the way flash runs?
