Post Pop-up target window

Basically we have a JavaScript pop up in which is a list of members user names and they all link to the members profiles. At present the user names currently open in a new window on click because of the use of target="_blank". I have tried target="_parent" but the profile opens within the tiny pop-up window which I don't want. I want it to open in the main window so browsing is better and easier. I have also tried without a target with no luck.

This is the contacts popup in vbulletin which I am sure you may understand pretty well :-D

Thank you

have you tried target="_self" ?

if not, give it a go.. if it don't work I will look into it for you if you post the particular template file or script you are trying to change

It is the BUDDYLIST template in vBulletin and the buudylistbit template. I have tried allsorts trying to get it to open in the parent window without luck. Target self just opens profiles within its own pop-up window which isnt all good.

Thanks, this should be fairly easy but proving a nuisance.
