Greetings to everyone .. I stumbled into web developing by sheer chance .. a friend wanted to start a web information site. next thing I knew she had me involved.. now I am responsible for it and building sites for small businesses in our area . great!.. I have no training other than by stumble and fall ... and yet I keep being asked to build sites.. I love the puzzle work but sure wish I had 10 hrs every day to learn code and graphics! lol I came across your site while searching for an answer to my need to embed a catalog from another site. I am still trying to figure it out.. I love the challenge though! lol Not sure if I have any knowledge to offer but wil do so if and where possible.

You sound like most that are here, everyone has their own stories on how they stumbled into web development. most are sheer accident.. Thats a great idea for a thread.. I think I might make one tomorrow when I have time to post my own story.. unless someone else starts one first lol... welcome to WPC...

p.s.. dont be afraid to post your question in whatever subject you think might be appropriate, I am sure one of our guys can answer you..

Welcome! Do you hand code your websites or use a WYSIWYG editor like dreamweaver?

I started with notepad, then moved to Frontpage what a mistake that was . yuck! .. but I am presently using Dreamweaver.
Sometimes I use my previous coding and manipulate, look for inspiration and strive to create something unique for my clients. Thx for your link. looking forward to the launch.

Welcome to WPC. You will soon pick up the learning process of coding and using or making graphics. I also am a beginner but am learning through 1-2-1 with saltedm8 (Glynn) whos teaching me all his knowledge...Ain't that right :EDIT: Master Po :END EDIT:....
