Hey there!

This is Eric Oliver here, also known as TheCosmonaut. I've been in the online industry for over 10 years now. I started as a designer programmer at a small company in Santa Barbara, then was a producer at DNA Studio in LA where I did movie websites for Sony Pictures, Paramount, and so on, then I started my own web design/development company, and have been doing that ever since. I've got a wide range of experience, but my main focus right now is on Flash development and design.

I found this site because somebody referenced one of my articles in one of the threads. I like the very welcoming vibe and design, and would love to help out however I can. I look forward to being part of the community!

It sounds as if you have had quite a distinguished career and I hope we could show you a thing or 2 also, although by your description it might be the other way around lol

Hey Eric, welcome to WPC, great to have you here.

It does sound like you have worked with some excellent companies and clients - I look forward to learning lots from you as you visit us and pass on that knowledge.

My cousin is currently in SF on a basketball scholarship, he loves it out there.

Re: your cousin -- You better keep an eye on him; I know TONS of people who came out here for college and never left! :D

Yeah, I don't think he wants to go back either (his home is in Australia); but at least if he does go back it won't be back to Blighty ;o)

He has another year left, then might try to get some work experience - his academic stuff is in graphic design and he is really loving it.
