Default An online magazine software?

I want to start an online magazine (about culture, art and architecture), where users can post their own articles. However I'm broke as a joke. So can anyone recommend an online piece of software that's relatively cheap, even better if it's open source. I came across CampSite, but don't know what to think of it.

I have next to no knowledge on HTML and CSS and my coding skills stretch no further then following instructions and copy & pasting. However I can pass as a graphics designer. So eventually I would like to design a layout, and get someone to code it for me.

Thanks.

Try joomla.. its a little complex sometimes in the admin panel but there are mega loads of mods and literally thousands of templates about that will do almost anything.. best part is that its free Joomla!

oh, I remember Joomla (formally Mambo). Last I tried using it I found it to be very complicated. It does look like a great piece of software, especially with the JXtended Magazine. However I'm after something a lot more simpler. I really don't want to spend months trying to get it to do what I want. Also I'll be working with a team of editors, and it's admin section will just make them uncomfortable, as it makes me.

Anything plain and simple out there? I might install CampSite and test it out.

You can use WordPress MU, or just WordPress with a form that allows people to submit articles.

You'll probably find it a bit cheaper getting someone to code up a wordpress design for you than Joomla - mainly because a standard WP theme works in WPMU too - which is a bonus ;)

Default CMS and Portal Links All Open Source

What about the following? There all free and come with any hosting that has Installatron or Google them to go to there official websites

Not sure if these will do what you want but they are all "Open Source" and may come in use.
