So who are we?

We are bunch of like minded designers and developers who needed a new challenge. We wanted to build something from the ground up, see it thrive and, hopefully, become somewhere that people enjoy going to when they have a spare ten or twenty minutes in their hectic lives.

We are looking to build a community who are all passionate and all enjoy website design or development, or a combination of both. Whether that be as someone starting out, or someone who has been online longer that Berners-Lee

We want this to be a place that is constantly learning and growing from the new members that join us, the new technologies that are developed and the new techniques that are discovered in and around the interweb.

Stewart Griffiths has been working with websites since the late nineties. He has extensive experience as a front-end designer and developer, focusing not only on (x)HTML, CSS, SEO and web standards; but also on usability and accessibility. He has created numerous engaging, flexible and usable web design and web development projects, ranging from fully integrated ecommerce solutions to finance & banking websites to personal portfolios.

During the day he is currently working as a senior designer, developer & web master within the banking industry. From February 2008 to January 2009 Stewart was the lead administrator of an online web community with over 10 thousand members. Seeking a new challenge, he has recently set up a new web design & development forum called WebProCafe with two great friends. In addition to this, he is continuing to consult on web standards, accessibility, and usability in the evenings; along with developing a number of personal projects.

He has two passions in his life; his family and his work.

Jon Warner is a freelance designer, operating in the fields of 3d & 2d graphic design/animation and web design.

His fascination with CGI (computer generated imagery) began circa 1989 with release of The Abyss.

In his (ever diminishing) spare time he enjoys cycling and walking (when the bike's got a puncture anyway) as well as supping a pint or two in the local with friends, as well as developing his design skills in Photoshop, Cinema 4d and After Effects.

Glynn Alexander has been designing and developing websites ever since he discovered the internet.
His passion for semantics and standards ensures his work is of high quality - as testified by many clients including some well known celebrities.

His skills lie in the area of Strict XHTML and CSS whilst maintaining accessibility and usability to high criteria.

Shalom Mandelbaum has been around computers for longer than he cares to remember. In the late '60's on IBM behemoth taking up more space that half a basketball court and far less memory than a $10 memory stick. Using ancient languages like PL/1, PL/2, FORTRAN and ALGOL (no not Al Gore). Just to give you an idea how large it was here it is boxed up for shipping.

His first modem was a 300 baud Commodore external add-on.

In the '80's he was deputy director and senior programmer of "Computerizing a Community" a joint project of the Ministry of Education, the Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheeba and Commodore Computers (Israel).

In the '90's he joined a private company as a computer consultant and went on to become its manager.

Shalom went into semi-retirement in 2007 and now divides up his time between education, consultation, programming, web design and his family and not necessarily in that order.

CloudedVision, AKA Theron Luhn, is a 15-year-old web designer and developer in Stoughton, WI. He started HTML-ing when he was only 8, and added CSS, Javascript, and PHP to his skill set within a few years. He currently works as a freelance designer and developer over at theronluhn.com.

Although CloudedVision mostly is found working on a client's website, he still finds time to mess around with his personal projects, namely Tamarin, a PHP framework, and Feline, a CMS.

When he's not making a website, he enjoys giving other web designers and developers a hard time about validating their code, hanging out with friends, playing video games, swimming, and dabbling in poetry from time-to-time.
