Can someone point me in the right direction of a good place to learn PHP.

I am particularly interested in form submission into a server side database as a start but would like to gain a general understanding of PHP.

I have no real knowledge of PHP at this time.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Hally0301,

I'd recommend W3Schools: PHP Tutorial as a good starting place, they have some really helpful tutorials, explanations and examples.

Also, if you ever want to look something specific up, php.net: PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor is a great resource (just type any function into the search box at the top right of the page and you get a good manual on how to use it etc!).

Hope that's some help!

Stu

davidj teaches PHP and I'm sure if you ask saltedm8 one of the admins he will tell you what the lessons are like as david has given lessons to him.
