For all those freelancers out there, do you have your clients sign any terms and conditions before starting on a project?

I would very much recommend it. A contract protects BOTH sides.
It ensures that you receive your fee. On the other hand it also looks after your client's interest.

I will put something on the web for you to download later. In the mean time, here are some links that you may find interesting:

I found the file I was looking for.

It is a 91 page 1.42Mb pdf file with all the paperwork you may need to set up your own design business. (Website contract pages 33-36)

http://ezra-lemarpe.info/wpc/freelance_contracts.pdf

The content is intended for a US based company. Maybe some kind soul will transpose it for UK companies too and repost here.

Yes, but you have to read your hosts T&C, if you state something that contradicts your host, your liable.

Say your host implements a fair usage policy, if you don't state this in your own contracts, your clients aren't bound by that fair usage policy, so when your host implements it on them, and they didn't know anything about it, your in the wrong, and your liable.

That's the only crappy example i could think of from the top of my head, but yeah, try and be as black and white about as much as you can. It's better to cover too much, then not cover enough.
