Are you caching the twitter results? API requests are limited to x amount per hour. If you exceed this your request will be denied. The work around for this is to update the feed once every 10 minutes or so.

Yeah, we cache it, but it updates every 5 minutes.

Thanks for the heads up on api limits, we will look into increasing the cache time.

ok changed it to every 10 minutes, there is a possibility that could have been it, but I think its more likely a problem with the connection.. fingers crossed lol

yeah, unfortunately, whenever twitter had a fail whale it would also stopped the vb loop, so we pulled it down.

its a quick fix, but we are working on a number of improvements right now, and as such it's lost it's priority.

however, i'll see if i can make some time
