Thread: 2010 - it's going to be a great year !

Guys just a short note to say a huge thank you for your support over the past year.

We have had a relatively successful year in a tough market. We have grown our member numbers steadily, and gained good SERP positioning. Again, I'd like to point out that we are a new entrant to a very tough market.

We have also tried out a number of additions to the forum to see how they would take to our fledgling community, not all have been successful; and those that were starting to take off seemed to lack focus. This is something we are aiming to rectify soon.

Most importantly, we have built a great community feel and this is all down to you.

So as I started saying above THANK YOU.

What's happening in 2010?

Well, as some of you will be aware, a new version of our community software was launched not too long ago. We have been busy evaluating the software, it's core and plugins, in order to assess whether we stay as we are, upgrade or migrate to a new software package.

After much discussion, we feel that VBulletin is still the product for us, and as such we are in the process of creating a new look and feel for the forum, as well as preparing for the upgrade.

We don't have timings for you as yet, but we will keep you updated with our progress.

With this upgrade and redesign will come a refresh of certain aspects within the forum:

• the magazine will get a renewed focus and the attention it deserves
• the wiki will be removed for now whilst we review it's purpose
• things we have yet to decide upon

hey all,

just wanted to thank you all for making this forum such a friendly place to come and hang out, not once have i felt threatened or made to feel thick lol, everyone involved within this 'community' forum should give them self a big pat on the back!!!

look forward to the new upgrade/design althought i do like the current one.
